Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Notice applies to all websites and services we operate, including online and mobile accounting products, events, and training. We’ll refer to them collectively as our ‘services’. This notice also applies to Praci users.
When we say ‘personal data,’ we mean any information that can identify you, such as your name, email address, phone number, bank details, payment information, and support queries. This definition aligns with the GDPR and covers all information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
We may update this notice periodically. If changes are significant, we will notify you via email.
1. Who Are ‘We’?
‘We,’ ‘our,’ and ‘us’ refer to PRACI LTD and our subsidiaries. Our headquarters are in New Zealand, but we operate globally. Contact details for all PRACI LTD offices are available on our Contact Us page.
We offer a global platform for small businesses and their advisors. At the core of our platform is our cloud accounting software. Learn more about our work on the About PRACI LTD page.
For data protection within the European Union, PRACI LTD (company number 15822571) is the data controller.
2. Our Principles of Data Protection
We approach data protection with four key principles:
- Transparency: We communicate openly and honestly about how we handle personal data.
- Enablement: We empower you to use your personal data efficiently and effectively.
- Security: We protect personal data using industry-leading security measures.
- Stewardship: We take responsibility for safeguarding personal data.
3. How We Collect Your Data
We collect personal data in three main ways:
- Directly From You: We may ask for your personal data when you sign up for services, participate in forums, respond to offers, engage with us on social media, attend events, or contact us for support. You don’t have to provide personal data, but some services may not work without it.
- Automatically: When you visit our websites or use our services, we collect data like your IP address, device type, and pages you view. This helps us understand how you use our services and improve your experience. We collect some of this data using cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences in our Cookie Notice.
- From Third Parties: We may receive data about you from third parties like marketing partners. We use this information to improve our services and validate your personal data.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Communicate With You:
- Provide information you’ve requested, such as training materials.
- Send operational updates, like security notices.
- Share marketing messages about PRACI LTD or other services you may be interested in.

- Aggregate and Report: We may create reports using anonymized data and share these with third parties.
5. Facial Verification and Data Use
We collect facial photos during the check-in and check-out process to verify your identity. These photos are used exclusively for this purpose, ensuring that the individual checking in or out matches the registered profile.
How It Works:
- During check-in and check-out, the app captures a new facial photo.
- This photo is compared with the user’s stored profile photos to confirm their identity.
- This process ensures that only the registered user can complete check-in and check-out actions.
Data Security and Retention:
- Facial data is securely stored on our backend servers and is accessible only to authorized personnel. We do not share this data with any third parties.
- Facial data is retained only while your profile is active. Once you delete your profile, all associated facial data is permanently removed from our systems.
